- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I wanted to open an account with a bank close to my residence. I went into Bank of the West and was told that Mary, the only person who could open accounts was on vacation. So I went in about a week or so later with 40 minutes until closing time, large cashiers check in hand, and was told I would have to come back the following morning. I was the only customer in the bank. Mary was sitting at her desk doing nothing, so was a man and a cashier. I reasoned that if this is the kind of service you get before they get your money, lots of luck after they have it. Too bad, its the only bank close to me. I recently moved here from the Seattle area and could not believe the horrible attitude in this small bank.By Joan Bonillas, June 03, 2017
